-12v -5v Power Supply question

What does the -12v and -5v do and how important are those voltages for gaming?

-5 is only for older system that have either isa cards or floppies. -12v isn't used much in newer machines either. Are you having problems?

You want to look at the positive amperage on the power supplies.

On Gta4 and Fallout 3 it has been crashing to desktop and now I'm
using the Hmonitor trial version to log the voltages every 5 seconds
while i'm playing these games so that when they crash to desktop
then I can look at the Hmonitor log files and check how the voltages
had worked while the crash to desktop happened.

the Hmonitor does'nt monitor the -5v and -12v on my PC.

do you have the latest video card drivers installed form either nvidia.com or ati.com

Yes I got the latest non-beta drivers from Nvidia installed.
