    Who Needs Free Ipods?

http://www.campusfood.com If you live in one of the many universities that have this program, you get a free meal on them. Just last night, I ordered some chineese from that site, and it was delievered in about an hour to my dormroom, completely free of charge. I'm not sure how the money works...

    RE: Laptop Decision

Centrino technology automatically regulates cpu clock speed in windows, you can't "lock in" to certain frequencies as far as I know in windows. Though it's possible that there is software that will keep you clocked down. I think windows does a pretty good job of regulating clock speed anyway.

    Freewill

Omnipotence doesn't mean he can do anything persay, it means that he can do anything that is possible. Creating a rock so heavy that he cannot lift is self contradictory, as is creating a square circle. Just like the married bachelor argument in my presentation on possible worlds. Well he has...

Who needs proof? All you have to do is agree that it is possible. You and I have no knowledge of these other worlds, but indeed I can concieve that it is possible that there exists a being than which no greater can be concieved. Sounds like you're a philosophy major. x.X

    Freewill

It is my understanding that by the premise that it is possible that there is a maximally great being we have shown that he exists in at least one possible world, and thusly in all worlds.

    Freewill

Oh this is indeed murky waters, but it deserves to be looked at at least once in any Free Will/Omniscience incompatibilty argument. I'll try to make this as breif and as accurate as I can. This is _not_ an argument for free will, it simply refutes that Omniscience and Free Will are incompatible...

    RE: Laptop Decision

Centrino is not really a thing, it's more of a specification. Kind of like a certification. To be certified as "Centrino" you have to have the following: A Pentium Mobile Processor which is capable of using intel's speedstep technology. A mini-pci wireless card which can regulate it's own power...

    Building a computer.

Check out some benchmarks on ddr2, also you can save quite a bit of money by going down just one notch from the bleeding edge, thats how I've always seen it. 250gb hard disks are fairly cheap these days though, you might want to go Serial ATA with that hard disk if you want real speed. Have you...

SpaceShipOne wins $10 million X Prize

The guy who piloted the second flight was on Letterman tonight. He was saying that they already have orders for flights into space, and could start public flights in less than a year. Also, Richard Branson (Owns Virgin, probably in the top ten richest in the world) is buying out SpaceShipOne in...

    RE: Laptop Decision

I own a Gateway 200x, with the "big" battery it gets 4 hours of life, with the small one, only around 2. It weighs about 3-4lbs, and is less than an inch thick. I would suggest you go for something that weighs a little more and does have the Centrino technology. As for your concern about mobile...

    i heard bout new OS

Linux has a lot of these features that are going to be added to longhorn. I believe XP already does "drive indexing" but I don't know if its really an optimized database. Linux has slocate, which works pretty darn fast. Certain distributions of linux also have 64 bit support. All without the...
