Actually, our green party candidate (for whom I voted) for assembly has a good shot at getting office in my opinion.

I voted for Russ Feingold, one of the only Senators to oppose the Patriot Act. As for local elections, I didn't go left or right, I went with the middle-of-the-road independent candidate mostly.

I use a Linksys WRT54G with free custom firmware available from Sveasoft, it costs about $49 now I think, and the custom firmware has quality of service (bandwidth throttling). I believe it allows you to do upstream and downstream prioritizing separately.

If you remember debate number 2, Bush was asked to name 3 mistakes he had made in his presidency. He basically insisted that he had made none. I'm not saying that he's any better than Kerry in terms of lying, but he isn't the golden boy you make him out to be.
