sounds like a classic heat issue. take the vid card out of the machine and check the fan/heatsink for dirt....use canned air to clean out the vid card....also blow out the psu and cpu as well...if you still have issues you have hardware damage..most likely the video card...I check my system...

I never test for infections inside the possible infected operating system. I use the offline scanner form microsoft for this purpose. As far as client protection goes I use avg free or mse for the free stuff..otherwise i use avg cloudcare and sophos endpoint cloud. I am a reseller of avg...
