You can also see in-game who can make what by opening the guild roster and setting the view dropdown to "Professions".

Yeah, there's several bugged quests in Vashj'ir. My advice, if you're concerned about leveling speed, is to head to one of the later zones. You can quest in Deepholm at 82, Uldum at 83. You can always come back to Vashj'ir later. Gear rewards also start to get a LOT better once you hit Deepholm.

I haven't done any serious pvp in WoW yet, but I think I would be interested in doing rated battlegrounds on my shaman. Probably need some healers, so I could do that.
