I've never thought of Cyclops as unlikeable, though I don't have much experience with the comics (and he didn't outlast Prof X in the movies lol). As it is, I thought he was a good enough leader in Whedon/Cassaday's Astonishing X-Men.

Excluding Sundays, any night is good for me, though it depends on the time. The only computer in the house is in the living room, where my parents are usually watching TV. Using TeamSpeak isn't something I could do.
