Well, things are slowly getting back to "normal" now (what qualifies for normal now), so I figured I better hop back in here and post an update - it's been a long time coming. My mom is still living with us, and we're looking for new places to live. We think we've found a couple houses for sale...

I already had reduced time to play because of the rl life concerns dealing with family arrangements. The video card just turned that into "no time" temporarily. :P We're currently dealing with paperwork, finances, looking for a new place to live...lots of fun stuff.

Same thing I had...I get a brand of cards with a lifetime warranty, so they just replace them if something fails. It's just a GeForce 8500, 512MB (something like that...it's in the mail right now, so I don't have exact details).

My video card decided to fail, so until I get the replacement I won't be playing Aion. I'm just running on the built-in card right now. I tried logging in today, but it wasn't exactly playable. :) Hopefully it'll arrive some time this week.

I'll be slowly getting back in...things are chaotic here, trying to get everyone settled and adjusting to an added member of the household. Thanks for the prayers, everyone...this has been a tough time.

For fast melee I'd say assassin or chanter...chanter being a hybrid of melee and buffing (with some healing thrown in), but the staff attacks are fun. Gladiators hit hard but are slower (haven't tried dual wield on mine). Templars are all about absorbing damage.

Through recent events I just inherited a cat (one of the positive outcomes...my Mom is living here with her beagle and cat now)...I'll try to post a pic when I can.

Hate to bring bad news, but my Dad passed away later the day I posted the original message. We just had the funeral today, and I'll be travelling back home with my Mom, who will be living with me now. Thanks for all of the prayers, this has been a rough time.

I just found out my Dad had a severe heart attack last night, so I'm going out of town to be with my Mom. I won't be online while I'm gone. Please pray for him and my family. I'll update when I can.

Wow, that looks awesome. Can't wait to see this stuff go live.

My short input is that I would prefer Galactic empire. I may try some Sith characters eventually out of curiosity, but I'll primarily be on the good side of things. If you want to live on the fringe, play a smuggler ;)

Ugh, now you have me looking at parts and thinking of building my own PC to upgrade. Those both look like good lists of parts - lots of good recommendations here.

I'm interested. I've been following it for a while, hoping to get into beta.
