Simulationcraft just spits out raw numbers and data based on your current gear, if you are heavy into theorycrafting it is a useful tool to determine where your dps it at..what's going on when you cast X or Y spell and what damage it did, percent absorbed, missed, etc..and helps you or attempts...

May I suggest Rawr, it's great tool if you've never used it before. it looks at your current gear, then by going over your selections attempts to optimize your current gear or find the BiS item, gem, enchant, etc...its very handy and essentially attempts to do the same thing as simucraft minus...
