You can run some instances or raids in your primary spec to get some JP and roll offset on caster gear until you get a starter set. Do you have any honor points? Pvp gear will be at least something until you get some pve.

So I saved some vacation days this year for the cata release. I have the 7,8 and 9 off and I plan to be fueled by mountain dew and beef jerky for those three days. I would have taken friday off but someone already had it. Anyone else plan to game hardcore for those three days?

I have a mage. I like the patch. Even tho AI gives mana now instead of intellect they did give it a +6% spellpower buff too. I can scorch for free and while running now too.

I had that problem too until I disabled peer-to-peer in the downloader options. It went a lot faster. I'd stick with the blizz downloader tho so you are sure you get everything needed.
