    Entwined Haiku

That will be the day! That you make me cry, That will. Be the day I die. I wonder if Buddy Holly ever intended that to be a Haiku *pondering expression*

    Swearing appropriately in stories.

I rarely seem to read anything that was not written in the 18th or 19th century at the moment which has little if any swearing. However, it certainly has other things which can be confronting from Goethe's views of suicide and the meaning of life to Dostoyevsky's parable about the church leaders...

    Entwined Haiku

:D Sorry I was more using the royal we than specifically aimed at you, though you would of course be welcome. It was just a passing idea about whether a poetry slam would work over something like team speak and would be enjoyable. In any case I am glad you enjoyed it and I hope you can...

*clap clap* very clever. How can both be true? Leave that to theologians. Think happy thoughts!

    Emergent gameplay

I am hesitant to ask BUT yes please do start a thread on the emergent church. I have never heard of it before. I have great pictures in my head of sermons on how there is "no outside the text of the bible" or "a deconstructive reading of religion" etc.

    Help me.

Sure I get what you are saying and was quoting your post above as it showed I needed to clarify more clearly. I am certainly not saying you should post it on your blog or tell your class mates or anything like that. You need to tell those that have access to appropriate resources and are...

    Help me.

Let me clarify. I am a psychologist and even I would tell police, their school principal/councilor, family, other professionals if i thought a threat was realistically being considered. The first reason for this sounds selfish, and maybe it is (BUT it is very sensible in todays environment), but...

    Help me.

I dont want this to come across the wrong way but when it comes to suicide and you think the threat is in any way credible (i.e. the person has not said "I wish I was dead" in frustration) tell as many relevant parties as possible. Tell the police, tell the school councilor if that is relevant...

Life's Solution: Inevitable Humans in a Lonely Universe

I hope this does not sound like a cop out, even though it is ;), but this thread is merely a book review for an interesting book with a very interesting concept from a world renowned scholar. I am having a look at the book and reviewing it in relation to those interested in reconciling evolution...

Life's Solution: Inevitable Humans in a Lonely Universe

Quote from Morris; As a biologist I have no doubt Darwin was correct, but very oddly unlike other areas of science there is a quite general feeling that, so far as evolution is concerned, that is all there is to say. Really? In other sciences there seems to be no limit to investigation: this...

Life's Solution: Inevitable Humans in a Lonely Universe

With religion and science seemingly at the cross roads with groups continuing to become increasingly polarized I picked up Christian and Cambridge Professor Simon Conway Morris' book "Life's Solution: Inevitable Humans in a Lonely Universe". In this book Morris attempts to develop a "theology of...

I was certain that hydra was simply the code name for Diablo 3. *shrugs* could be wrong put I thought they revealed this earlier in the year.
