Phantasy Star Online 2. There are other games, but I'm not playing them. PSO2 has been a looooong time coming for me, and I'm super happy with it being here. It delivers as expected. I mean, I've played it on multiple platforms before...but in Japanese. I don't speak Japanese. Getting to play...

Tribe of Judah celebrates 21 years May 19, 2020

Hmm. Not sure I can track my ToJ involvement to a specific date. I know my CGA account goes back to 2008, and a different user I had was running a short stint in 2007. I ran the ToJ newsletter for a year-ish (10/2010-10/2011). Been a while. Anyway, congrats on the birthday, ToJ! It's not an...

Maining Minecraft right now on Switch. Got a private Realm set up for my two siblings and myself. Been a good time. Really easy to get sucked into exploration and/or creating stuff (must be why they call it Minecraft), even more so when I can do it on my Switch. Haven't really been on much else...

Tell you what you probably already know, but base game does not have all the characters. You'll want Special Edition to get EVERYTHING, and that's $33.50 right now. You can bring down the cost and get LOTS OF THINGS for something closer to $17 by buying BASE ($4.80) + ADDITIONAL CHARACTER PACK...

Was gonna respond yesterday, then that obviously didn't happen. Welp, trying again! Division 2 is my gaming bread-and-butter these days. Approaching the end of the base game's campaign, and the game has constantly delivered, often getting better the more I play. Just now getting to some of the...

The Asian American Christian Collaborative's Statement on Anti-Asian Racism in the Time of COVID-19

Unfortunately, however we want to view this, the reality is that I have a number of Asian-American friends across the country, and I'm pretty sure this fear is real for most of them, whether they have been the immediate recipient of wrong behaviors or not. Even if the problem isn't as bad as...

    COVID-19 community check-in and discussion

So far, we're doing quite alright. My department (IT) is digging in its heels more than just about any other department at the university as far as recommending work from home goes. The option is available, but requires approval and such. I'm on the edge of pursuing it. Others on my team already...

    Free Word Processing Software?

+1 to OpenOffice recommendations. Used to run NeoOffice when I had a Mac some years ago. I'm personally invested in the Google suite, but since you said "offline" was an essential feature, I'ma stick with the OpenOffice recommendation.

The role of forums in 2020?

I still need to come back to this in a thoughtful fashion full of pro- statements, but my opening question is gnawing at me. I mean this in all love and no negativity in response to the pro-forums folks: What would it take to see the forums as successful? I understand some of the appeals forums...

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. This game was made for me. It nails Star Wars feel, controls tightly, is difficult (I'm playing on Jedi Master) but never infuriating for me, rewards exploration, and is gorgeous to boot. It's honestly the most compelling game I've played since Spider-Man. I want to...

    [Weekly - W] Now Playing

On the PokeGo note: I work on a university campus. I don't have to put effort in to play. Every trip to the restroom, to another building across campus, is an opportunity to catch new things and spin stops. In any other circumstance, I probably wouldn't play. I never go out of my way to play it...

[Weekly - Su/M] What did you learn/teach at church?

Finished up the series on the Holy Spirit by talking about His work of conviction and transformation. The pastor focused on Psalm 139:23-24 and concluded with a challenge for people to pray it for a week. I said I would take the challenge. Not expecting an easy week now. XD Psalm 139:23-24...

Back on Pokemon Go. Put in the work to clear out enough items that I could visit Pokestops again. Not going particularly ham on the game right now, but have it back open. Honestly, don't remember what else I've played this last week. Spent too much time sleeping instead. lol Oh! But I did put...
