Tropico 3 is free today (16 hours remaining as of post) at the Humble Bundle store. It told me even after you redeem it on Humble Bundle's site you need to redeem the key on Steam by Oct 6th. Have fun.

I downloaded it overnight, but it crashes when I try to launch it. I'm running it through Steam on Win 7sp1 anyone else have issues or a workaround?
Sorry I can't help you there. I'm not libel to play it for a while it's just there if I ever get bored and feel like subjugating Latin America
. Let me know how it turns out though. I might end up asking you what the problem was if I go to play it later and have the same XD .

Found a solution. The problem is caused by running multiple displays. Disable your extra display(s) and start the game. Go into options and change the resolution to whatever you are using on your primary display. Exit game. Re-enable your displays and launch the game, it should run now. Some of the posts I found about this problem said to enable "windowed mode" but I can't find a setting for that, changing the resolution fixed it for me.
nope, runs fine for me win 7 64bit as with you I suspect. Delete and download again maybe?
