Recommended mods for Skyrim?

What mods do you all recommend for Skyrim?

I'm thinking of picking the game back up soon now that I have a machine capable of playing it on the highest settings.

I'd like to find some mods to make the game prettier (such as high definition textures and better water effects), but ease-of-use mods would be helpful, too.

So you think you have a beefy enough compter to run it at highest settings with mods. I beg to differ. ;)
That said, I recommend the ENB Series mod, WATER, and Skyrim HD for starters to make your game look all pretty. Bout to go to work so I don't have time to hunt down all the links, but they're either on steam workshop or the TES Nexus.

wow... shame its a killing game :-( (eve don't count as I'm just blowing up spaceships)

Wow. You, sir, have impressed me. D:

It's nothing really. I actually have more fun modding the game than playing and when I do play I'm chasing butterflies and taking screenshots.... and trying on new clothes. I admit it, I'm a Skyrim diva. But yeah, Illusion magic and speech make it pretty awesome. It's almost more of a Visual Novel than an action game.

Oh my goodness! sorry, Tek. Didn't mean to hijack your thread.

No worries. :)

I've started playing Just Cause 2 but I'll probably switch to Skyrim soon. JC2 is one of those games I would have loved when I was younger and had more time to spend exploring game environments, but Panau is so massive that I find myself thinking, "I could be playing NS2 or GW2 or something instead of flying/driving/running from point A to point B right now."

Skyrim at least has fast travel. :p
