Wondering if anyone is playing this. Autumn sale as well as the upcoming Christmas sale means lots more people should be picking up ARMA II and this seems to be a really popular game. Getting ready start playing and was looking for a server. Also wondering if maybe we had enough interest to start our own server.

If there's enough interest and funding to start a ToJ DayZ server, let me know and I can set it up!
I've watched more youtube videos of it than I care to admit. Sorry to be negative on your idea Wolfeman but I would not bother. Sure it has some potential but the mod is rife with in-completion, hackers and bugs. More importantly Day Z standalone is in the works with a tentative December due date. Being so near to possible release of a game that may eclipse it I think it's best to wait and see first.
Sorry if you already bought it Wolfeman XD. At least you didn't buy War Z that would be much worse XD.
Oh I do know Sarugon was playing Day Z a while back and looking for someone to play with so you may want to ask him.

This thread was in response to the soon (?) release of the standalone. My understanding is the stand alone would be free. I've seen quite a few people talking about the DayZ mod for ARMA II so I was checking interest. I actually traded for ARMA II back this summer just for the mod but have never gotten around to playing (because of the reported bugs and problems associated with an alpha version). Also considering the discussions around taking down the L4D2 server I was looking for something to replace it that a lot of people might be interested.
Ooooh a free to play stand alone Day Z does sound sweet. If they do that I can see getting Toj together to play it then.
I have heard about the DayZ mod from one of my cousins,and it looks awesome. My problem with it is that you have to have Arma II to play it,and if I remember right it has some strong language in it,along with some other stuff =-(. But if there is a standalone DayZ coming out,it might not include those things!

There's a MMO coming out called The War Z. I haven't looked into it much but it might be something your interested in.
