Karma just got super easy to get! Stacks with boosters

Goodbye Orr farming, hello liquid karma. 4500 karma, account-bound so you can use on any toon. Daily gives 1, monthly gives 10. They also stack with guild and personal boosters, believe you can get ~7800 per gift with all boosters on.

Soooooooo much karma... I'd recommend we start having a scheduled time per week to have boosters on so that folks know when they are.

Honestly it's hard to believe this stuff isn't a typo. The amount of karma being given is enough to snag 2 pieces of exotic gear, and that's just the monthly. The issue there is it makes me wonder how hard of a hit crafting will take. By the time you hit 80, the dailies + monthly should pretty much give you enough karma to get a full set for free.

Edit to add: you also get karma for completing dungeons now.

Looks to be 1880 karma for a level 80 character, per path. I believe that includes story but it's a bit ambiguous.

Sorry, I don't follow. Per gift? What gift? I haven't been able to log in since Halloween update went live.

I believe that is only for the first completion of the day and then it factors down.

Sorry, used to calling everything a "gift". Item is jug (I think?) of liquid karma. You get one for completing daily quest, 10 for monthly. They each give you 4500 karma, and stack with boosters...I believe up to a max of ~7800 per gift. So for example, if we had guild boosters + you used personal karma booster when you opened 50 of them (30 dailies + 10 for monthly), you'd be sitting on over 300,000 karma.

Well, honestly, it's not all that hard to get karma in WvW. I mean, I got about double the karma most people who leveled to 80 in PvE got.

Kinda makes sense.

I always thought it was weird that you could save the world, but you needed to go do more tasks to get someone to give you a set of cool armor. You'd think defeating one of the Dragons would give you enough cred. :D

Heh, just like every other RPG.

"HEY, IN ORDER TO DEFEAT THIS GREAT WORLD-THREATENING EVIL, YOU'LL NEED THESE GREAT WEAPONS! That'll be 500,000 gold, please."

Also makes you wonder about lack of trade routes...how do kingdoms get leveled when better equipment is just one mountain passage away? Oh, gosh, this has me thinking about way too many RPG tropes. G
