Ugh: ESO Makes it Impossible to be Objective

I was trolololing the interwebs and came across this article.

Basically the people responsible for DAoC's amazing PvP are bringing their talent to the Elder Scrolls to make an MMO, if you haven't already heard...

Three factions who each occupy one of the outlying regions in Tamriel are fighting over Cyrodiil.

I promised I wouldn't get stoked over this game, but it has 3-way PvP and has some of the old Mythic miracle workers developing it.

I'M STOKED.

But wasn't Warhammer Online designed by some of the same folks behind DAoC? I don't mean to be a wet blanket (especially since I <3 RvR); I just don't want to set expectations unrealistically high.

1) ESO will have 3v3 rvr in an area similar to Daoc.
2) Have you ever played a bad Elder Scrolls game?
3) EA is not involved.

I hated all the ones I tried. xD

Not hate for me, but bored for sure. It was fun, but not as fun as some other games. There was no "hook" in Elder Scroll games to make me want to login and play the game more than an hour or two after getting into it.

I find it best to keep expectations low until proven otherwise.

An announcement does not prove squat.

Well not much ever proves anything.

It does show however that they know they want good pvp by going to former Mythic employees.

Yeah they definitely botched that game.

Warhammer was pushed out long before it should have been. Multiple capitol cities were missing, end-game pvp can't be described as anything other than an epic failure, end-game pve didn't exist (even Dark Ages had end-game pve...).

However, the pvp leading up to level 40 was quite fun and purposeful.

I don't think Bethesda will push their team around like EA did (or like how it seems they did) - their gaming heritage is at risk here.

I could be wrong: And please correct me if I am, (I am simply going on the forum rants) but the last Morrowind game was full of bugs.

I didnt buy Skyrim yet because I feared this from the previous launch, but I am under the impression that the bugs are still getting worked out.

Not that any MMO would launch without bugs but they do have this issue in at least the last 2 games.

As I say I am not making a argument against the Morrowind MMO, I just hold judgement till I see it in a video format.
