Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited

I doubt it's chapter worthy, but a couple friends of mine and I are rolling characters in DDO. A forum search showed that a few of you had interest in the game at one point. I got to wondering if anyone here still played.

We're gonna get going on Orien, it seems.

We're talking about getting a Guild Charter, and that made me think "hey... I should check in with ToJ." Since my friends are Christians, too (our common meeting point being Christ Centered Gamer), I wondered if it'd be a good thing to associate with Tribe of Judah should a Guild Charter be purchased.

Input would be appreciated.

That's just silly.

You're thinking of Poker. :P
Hush. Most Christians aren't aware that playing cards show depictions of the minor arcana. Don't ruin innocent, non-gambling poker games for the rest of us.

And I think we STILL have a guild in DDO named (get ready for it) Tribe of Judah.

Of course, I'd have to reinstall the MASSIVE client to find out. And find out who has guild leadership.

Anyone still have DDO installed who could check for me? Pretty please?

If not, I suppose I can reinstall the game at some point and dig through the info.

Do it. I double dog dare ya. >_______>

And DDO is still too stigmaish for me, I'll stick with my JRPGs, kthx.

Interesting. If there's a guild search function, I can look it up since I've got the client installed. If it's decrepit, I'm not sure there'd be much merit to hunting it down anyway.

If memory serves me the leader got moved to me shortly after I stopped playing, I'm re-downloading the client so if anyone would like to take leadership I should be able to transfer it.

Edit: Looks like I'm not the leader (:) ) Armethis is the leader. You can find our guild on Ghallanda Here

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up. :) Interesting, it looks like Armethis has moved to a guild called Order of the Lion... and that the last activity recorded for guild members was in... February. XD

If you (or anyone else) ends up reviving the DDO guild and starts playing again, let me know. Now that I've upgraded from a 160GB hard drive to a 500GB hard drive, I can have more games installed at the same time. When I only had 160GB, I ended up removing every free-to-play MMO (e.g. LoTRO, DDO, Allods Online, etc.).

EDIT: Check this thread and this post for more on how the ToJ DDO guild got its start.

I'm really tempted to start playing DDO regularly...ish. Gaming ADD is never good for MMOs, but I really do like DDO. Like I said, I've got at least two or three friends wanting to start up, so that'll give me incentive to play more.

Just means I've gotta put down Infamous a little more.

Which is a lot harder to do than it may sound.

Will check out those links.

Soooo... having just run a four hour session with the friends I referred to earlier, I gotta say...

I'm really digging DDO. It's a lot of fun. Playing with friends is pretty much the only way to do it (as I liked the ideas when I tried soloing in the past, but it wasn't really very enjoyable). But with friends as part of the equation? Much awesomeness indeed.

Running an elf wizard. Only level two still, but I'm dealing a bit of damage with well placed Burning Hands.

Definitely thinking that I'm becoming a fan of the game.

MMOs are all about the group play. If it's a choice between playing a MMO solo and any single-player game I own, I'm going to play the game designed for single-player. Well, unless I get free WoW game time and I go exploring updated areas. Or the auction house. All bets are off when it comes to the AH.

Now that I have the hard drive space, I might have to give DDO another go. I might try to convince Elihu to give it a shot, too. I don't think trying to persuade Ember to try it again would yield results, but it may be worth a try.

Pretty much this. I understand well. But when it comes to playing an MMO with friends or a single-player campaign alone... the decision ain't as easy to make.

Worth a shot. I think I mentioned above, but my friends and I are playing on Orien. I could create a character on... Ghallandaorwhatever... if that's where you're already running and you wanna pick up where you left off.

Definitely had a blast last night, though.

I've had a couple characters on Orien for months now. Of course, I haven't played in months. I think my highest is a level 3 (2 Thief / 1 Paladin). My limited game time is about to become even more limited. I start back at work tomorrow after 3 weeks off for the birth of my second son. Between work, a toddler, and an infant I don't think I'll have the time a MMO takes to play effectively. I'll probably just jump on and off TF2 when I get the chance for the time being.

I play it occasionally, but my characters are on a different server. Next time I hop I can reroll on whatever server members are playing on.

I've pretty much soloed everything so far...having a group to play with would be fun.

I still have 264GB free, so I think I'll install DDO soon. Maybe after the madness of Steam sales ends and we're in the new year. Maybe sooner.

I would actually PAY to play DDO, but Turbine apparently doesn't like money.

When they went Free2Play, they made a security change where if your ISP's IP is in a different zipcode than the billing address on your credit card; you can't pay to play their games.

That's...odd. Have you contacted their support team about it?

And unrelated to the topic: Manabyte. Dude. Your signature takes up half my screen and I'm on a 1440x900 display. I know we've been a bit lax in enforcing the signature rules, but man. Seriously. (Spoken with <3.)

Takes up my full screen (1024x768... lolold). :P

Weirdness on Turbine's billing thing. I'm too cheap to buy in when I can unlock things for free (even if it's a bit of work), but it's cool that you like it that much.
