Steam Christmas sale highlights

Recettear is on sale for $6.80. Every other sale in today's daily deals is trivial by comparison.

QFT Thanks for letting me know. I was so bummed when I missed the last sale with Recettear in it. This may not be as good of a deal... but it's still awesome.

Eeeeeeep.

Consider the $1.81 difference a light punishment for missing the first sale. :D

Enjoy Recettear in good health!

Hey at least you got it on sale, I paid full price for my shop selling entertainment. Still worth it.

I'm not sure it was free for PC users, too. If it was, well, I should have had my wife download it then. Or maybe I did? I don't recall. It's all fuzzy.
It was. And I did. I downloaded it all by myself without you having to tell me to. :D

At first I lol'd.

Then I realized that many of you probably didn't pick up Recettear.

Then I srs'd.

GET THE GAME QUICK, PEOPLE!

Mass Effect 2 is on sale for $10 today.

Great timing for others, terrible timing for me: I uninstalled the game after 2-3 hours, backed it up to my external drive, and will probably pick it back up in the next few weeks. I don't know if I'll stick with it next time around or (if and) when I'll finish it, but I am leaning toward prudence and waiting for a future and equal discount.

Stupid economy.

Back to the Future: The Game

Quick note: I passed on buying Tommy Tronic. Demo was buggy (at least on my computer), gameplay included fall damage (which, IMO, is a bad idea for a platformer), and the first level has you trying to find booze for a drunk gnome to tell you where you can hope to find your dog.

I love indie games, but I wasn't feelin' this one. Just made me want to play Jazz Jackrabbit again.

Today's Steam daily deals include:

  • Shank - $7.49
  • Tropico 3: Gold Edition - $6.00
  • X SuperBox - $13.60
  • Save 50% on all Dragon Age games
  • Monkey Island: Special Edition Bundle - $3.75
  • Civilization V - $37.49
  • Save 90% on all FlatOut games. WARNING: FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage includes Games for Windows Live
  • Altitude - $2.49
  • Blue Toad Murder Files: The Mysteries of Little Riddle - $3.00

Left 4 Dead 2 is on sale for $6.79 (or $4.99 if you already own Left 4 Dead 1) today.

If you buy it now, you could play in Tribe of Judah's next Left 4 Wednesday event!

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is also on sale for $30.

The PC version features higher res textures and filtering than the console versions, but takes a bit of power to run at 60fps.

I know I'm not really helping, but I believe I'm still doing a good thing when I say...

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale is still half off of retail (coming in at $9.99 right now). If you don't own this game, I highly recommend changing that ASAP.

I heart it. Muchly.

Edit: Actually helpful. Jedi Knight Collection is $4.99. I didn't wanna spend money... but... I told myself I'd buy that if it went on sale again.

Dangit. Dilemmas suck.

It is like MtG meets Miniatures boardgame. Reminds me a little of Battle Forge but that is RTS and this is turn based. I think i will grab it as I am a sucker for CCG/TCGs

edit: wait...wut? no multiplayer? Hmm still will grab it I think but man no multi is weak for a game like this.
