What's this, they've cut the price of another generic Asian grindfest mmo in half because nobody's buying it?! For shame!
There really a need for criticism in such manner? I find it rather rude.
The game is by no means generic. It has a good amount of flare to it that others don't. An they are improving on those things even more.
I've played other Asian MMOs that were grindfests. While there is some grind, Aion is not such. They have made changes and are continuing to adapt the game to remove that feeling.
The game has gotten off to a rough start and new people are not flooding in. But it's still developing. The 1.9 patch will be out this month an almost doubles the content. An that's just half of the whole 2.0 expansion that will be completed at the end of the year.

I'm glad I found your thread, Keero. I saw the D2D sale earlier today via a Google ad but didn't realize it ends in a few hours. My daughter sent me a trial code to try Aion out but it's taking forever to download.

I'm sorry, I was only kidding. I actually really like Aion's backstory and graphical style. It does have a poor reputation in certain places on the web though. >_>

Besides it was just a periodic D2D sale. Aion is still full price through NCSoft and most other outlets.
I picked up L4D2 just after it came out at half price thanks to a Steam sale. It doesn't mean the game wasn't selling
