Okay, I'm a huge fan of Metal music. I usually listen to secular metal, and the only Christian music I listen to is Don Francisco and Carmen and I really don't like most other Christian music. Now I love some Christian metal bands;

Demon Hunter
Sanctifica
Tourniquet
and
Mortification

So based on the ones I've listed (Not Counting Carmen and Don Francisco), are there any other ones you'd recommend.
 
I don't know if they're classified quite as metal, but Falling Up and Skillet are pretty good Christian hard rock bands. Thousand Foot Krutch is also good.
 
Red does some alternative metal songs though many of their songs sound like rock http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_%28band%29.

Honestly I only bought one of their CD's becuase it was not good enough for me, another may like it though. Of course I'm not a Demon Hunter fan either so what do I know :p.

Those are just a few I regularly listen to, you should check out the Radio U Hardcore show on Friday nights, you can stream it online, also there is a metal portion of the Fusion show on Saturday nights.

There are so many christian metal bands out there.
Warning for link below! This is a christian band. I have before tried to advertise this band to other christians and they have despised this band and put them down. They are christian and they are only spreading the word of god.

I know of hundreds... let me try to list some...

Poo, will have to list them later, my iTunes is empty, just reformatted...

But by far Oh, Sleeper is my favorite!
 
Head over to Solid State Records... They sign most of the Heavier Christian Bands that are worth listening to.
 
You can find a nice variety of groups if you listen to ChristianHardRock.net on your computer. My personal favorites are:

Pillar
Skillet
TFK
Fireflight
 
Also, while they do not label themselves as a Christian band, the main core of Trans-Siberian Orchestra are Christians and they write powerful experimental albums about grace, redemption, and salvation.

Thanks, I get it from a good friend who owns more Christian metal music disks than the entire contents of most people's hefty iTunes collections. He's always pointing me out to good bands in the genre.
 
Does Chris Tomlin count as metal?

/Only really knows Demon Hunter :x
