Due to a certain canukian friend asking for an update, the youngest member of the Young family is here to satisfy your appetite with all that is Minnesota.

You're right Avesther, I graduated last year from my high school and am currently writing this in my dorm room at Bethel University in MN. One of my room mates is taking his 5th nap of the day, and the other is studiously slaving over his pre med homework. I'm currently undecided in my major, but am leaning towards pre pharmacy course work, then applying to the U of M (University of Minnesota) pharmacy program, it's ranked about 3rd in the nation (I guess it doesn't include canadian pharmacy schools ;)). Life has been good for me, I'm on a leave of absence from Target while I'm at school, but will most likely go back during holidays and the summer. I have yet to have a girlfriend (I know, can you believe it?!), but there is definitely a girl in my life for whom I care a lot for. After a month of school now, I am not behind in my studies, which surprises me just as much as it probably surprises you. After I stopped playing WoW I spent a lot of time honing my social skills and seeking out old friends so I could build deep relationships. In my last two years of high school this flourished for me, I had many connections in high school, but only one group of friends with whom I got very close to. This was my favorite time of high school. I worked as many hours I could at Target so I could have enough money this year to live at college. We'll see if I'm able to for the last 3 years (it is sooo expensive!). 5' 10" at 180 lbs, I lost a good amount of weight this last summer, which suites me just fine! I am very content with how God is working in my life right now. Not every thing He puts in my life pleases me at first, but I've definitely come to realize that when my trust is placed in Him that everything will turn out just fine. My relationship with our Father is growing deeper everyday, and I will proudly boast of my love for Him :) I miss the old WoW days, before expansions came out. Original Onyxia runs and Molten Core were some very fun times. I always miss Redeemed though, you guys are the reason I stayed in the game for so long, and why I sometimes think about coming back to it. It's not easy to stay away from such an amazing group of people.

My dad is doing well also. He is working a lot of over time as a paramedic now that I am out of the house. The extra money he is making is phenomenal, and I feel blessed to have a father who cares so much about my education being payed for. After he got out of the game he started to clean up the house a lot, papers and magazines that had ended up piling up while he, my brother, and I were in the game. We started to play tennis a lot at our local park, and started to go see movies and go on walks with my mom and dog more often. He found us a new church fairly near our house, Bethlehem Baptist, pastored by John Piper. Both my father and I are very impressed at the gift that God gave to this man to preach His word and lead His people. He was busy last summer with trips we took, and getting my graduation party set up. God is also working miracles in my dad's life that are evident to all of us. It would be very hard to miss that God is quite active in the continuing development of our family.

My brother got married two summers ago to his high school sweetheart. The wedding was beautiful, and guess who got to be best man? I know, who else but me? :) I was proud to stand next to my brother as he passed into one of the most important chapters of his life. We both joked that he "dinged" that day, lol. After leaving the game my brother started to work full time in the pharmacy at Target. He is currently going through his third year at U of M's pharmacy college. His wife is currently attending her third year in Lutheran Seminary. We see each other often enough to keep happy. He has a beautiful new cat that is growing far too fast for my liking! From fur ball to tall terror in a matter of months. God is obviously leading his life in the direction that is best for him. Even before becoming a certified pharmacist, my brother has been helping guests at Target save thousands of dollars on prescription medicine by working through the loop holes of the insurance companies, and spotting when they are not getting the best deals. He does it all with a smile and a kind word. God has placed him exactly where his skills and talents work best, praise be to our Father on high! I am looking forward to the first time I can, in truth, call my brother Dr. Young.

My mother, though you do not know her as much, is also doing well. She is taking my leaving a little hard, but that is to be expected from a mother who loves her son as much as she loves me. Also, I am the youngest, so I ended up making her an empty nester. She is cleaning the house a lot more lately. Her and my father are both beginning to go out with neighborhood friends a lot more often, spreading their wings if you will ;) She is happy with the emails and texts I send her, along with the phone calls updating her on how my life is spanning out here at college. God is holding her close to him, and supporting her so that she is able to support the rest of the family. Along with God, she is truly the glue that holds our family together and keeps us sane!

This past summer my mom, dad, and I went on a band tour to Europe. We visited Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic. My high school band played many concerts at some BEAUTIFUL churches! It was a perfect way to end my high school career, and to begin my last summer before leaving home.

In the picture of my friends, I am on the far left.
In the picture of my family, start on the far left:

Questions? Comments? Recipes for a really good chocolate cake or brownies? Love you guys.

That is awesome! Now the real fun of education starts: UNIVERSITY!!! It is really great catching up with you and your family. You and your wow family were very close so it is good to see you guys moving forward so wonderfully!

I must say, that was an excellent letter, Pro. I'm of the new generation of Redeemed WoW family and it's great to see the Lord working in people's lives. Keep following in His steps and you'll be just fine. Btw, you can keep in touch here without being in-game. :)

God Bless

Proeliator's father, whos toon in the guild was Young a human warlock, was instrumental in the early raiding philosophy of Redeemed. Upto that point in time,we had partnerships with other guilds who would save upto 20 spots on 40 mans for our members. It was Young, Chalice and Draaco who came up with the idea that Redeemed would start our own raiding and seek out PUGs to fill the last 20 spots. But we would approach the guildless or people in other guilds who want to raid but are tired of raiding in their current guild for the behavior but didn't want to leave that guild for their friends. Upto that time people in Redeemed were raiding with Fallen, Roadkill and Holicron Knights.

That is your history lesson for the month, you will be tested on it.

That's awesome to read how content you seem to be in your life right now :) God does work wonders and it's funny how he can always seem to keep a stable joy in your life.
