No one else has Street Fighter IV?

I just pre-ordered it yesterday and downloaded today.

Its pretty wicked. I also just brought a Logitech Gamepad and it works quite well, just need to configure it right...

Anyone else brought it on PC?

Sucks that no one brought it, I can't challenge any of you!

Sorry, can't afford it right now. Even if I could, I probably wouldn't get it. I liked it on the Xbox 360, but not enough to drop the money on the game AND a proper arcade-style joystick controller (which would probably only get used for a small handful of games).

Still, it's cool to see a mainstream fighting game get some PC love. Maybe some people across the CGA affiliates will pick it up and post a reply in this thread.

YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I GOT DAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 20 losses with Sakura...Seth is so cheap!

I'm extremely happy now, Dan is the man! :p

It would be rare to find people from here, but its okay.

I did notice using the Benchmarks then playing the actual game was much different.

Online is cool, i didn't know you can use a Mic.

OH wow, I forgot my Keyboard has USB ports cause I was running out of USBs on my PC. :p

So far it looks like it runs perfectly smooth, and it recognized my Sanwa-modified Hori HRAP3 stick for the PS3 without any problems.

I will quickly work to unlock all the characters, and then Corpfox... I am coming after your Dan.

Nice. No problem, Omega Amen.

I played 1 guy 9 times, all 9 losses. But it gave me some nice unlockable tags.

I just hope to get the newer costumes, Dan wears fighting pads. :D

Btw, that guy did an AWESOME tutorial with Dan.

Well, I got knocked out by Omega Amen.

A few times, I almost had him! Oh well. ;)

I was thinking about since our game was alittle laggy, would lowering my settings make it better.

I tried the game's benchmark and very surprised my video card is only using 50%...

I knew my ram would bottleneck but my video card...wow...

Ram

Max: 400mhz
Using: 133mhz

Video Card

Max: 256MB
Using: 123MB

And for that reason, I'm considering a newer PC sooner than later.

But what kind of newer Custom PC to get.... -_-

The game is runnable off-line but on-line, most of the time, I just watch myself get beat-up and lose because the timing and button mashing is not synced. Especially the Cut-Scenes and Voice-Overs, 5 FPS!

lowering your settings is not going to help online is internet based and once it leaves your machine there's not a lot you can do. If your machine is running he benchmark fine then you are good.

Our connection meter was at the lowest bar before we actually started any match, Corpfox.

Granted, SFIV uses the GFW Live Peer-to-Peer code to play online, meaning it is somewhat dependent on the host's processing power and internet upload speed (and you were the host last night).

However, since the connection meter was showing up as really low before your machine actually started to render any match, then something along the network path was really the cause of the stuttering and lost frames in our match.

At least, it should be that way, unless the networking code was not programmed well for the PC. We can always try again with me being the host to experiment more, if you want.

Ram

Max: 400mhz
Using: 133mhz

My slowest RAM runs at 800mhz, and it was only $30 for 2GBs...plus having 4GBs really helps...4GBs of 800 RAM for $60 is good...thank you newegg :)

Video Card

Max: 256MB
Using: 123MB

Uhh...yuk! Time for an upgrade at least...and 256MB VCs are starting to fall extinct, my wife has a 256MB card that was very nice when we got it, but she can barely play newer games on lowest settings without super lag... This is similar to what I am using, and it is only $100, and mine can run any game out right now at max graphics...

You could spend under $200 and have your system rather nicely upgraded and it would last for at least another 2 years...

My Ram; OCZ Platinum 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400

I brought them for $200 each, 4 x 1GB Total. With Windows XP 64, it did give me 4GB of Ram but the OS was very unstable and 70% of the software and games were in-compatible.

My current computer is already upgraded to the MAX!

Except for the CPU. It can use Dual Core, but my parts are obsolete. I use a 939 AMD Motherboard, like Atowns, but he was smart enough to get Dual Core. :(

Sadness...looks like it's off to computer shopping...hehe...

FWIW, I just bought sf4 on the pc too. I am still trying to unlock Dan but am too prideful to look up the official way to do it. I just hope it's not something really ridiculous that I'll never figure out. :) Eventually, I'll give in and look things up but the game is so new, I'm having fun exploring. My online tag is zebodee. (like SC).

I got sf4 figured out better and I can do some combos with
the keyboard but I can't do combos like the ones the charactor
bison has.

my windows live gamertag is: Molly5678
