Azami

So hey guys hope everyone is having a good day and all.

So I noticed some interesting in last nights raid at Mag and that was that there were 3 elemental shamans in it. Which got me to thinking at all our active level 70 shaman mains in redeemed and how they're all elemental mostly. So I decided to perhaps switch Azami to a different spec. She's collected a lot of gear for her other specs so gearing her up for them wouldn't take too long just need enchants that I've been holding up on.

So I could go enhancement and help out the rogues and dps warriors with cool windfury totems and unleashed rage.

Or I could go resto and do more raid healing, earth shield, and mana tide which is all also good.

Or just stay elemental and keep doing my pew pew dps thing.

What do you guys think I should be?

I voted resto so I could take my rogue more :) I think enhance would be good, not sure if your dps would be as high though.

for raiding, isn't it better to bring multi-person buffs along with you...that being said, i think the melee dps would be better than resto, but then again i know very little about shammy specs (and have no idea what kind of group/raid buffs resto shammies can provide). I also know how many holy pallies we have, and I like the idea of taking along many of them for the abundance of buffs that they provide.

*although i do hear that the chain healing is a VERY nice thing to have

I really enjoy being resto! Not so much for dailys, and I look like a hobo in my healing gear, but in raids, it's a ton of fun!

I haven't checked in a while, but right before 2.4 came out, treechop was the #2 shaman on the server for both attack power and crit. But his dps is like 100-200 dps lower than treehouses. It could be a case of "Enhancement Shaman: Ur doin it wrong!" But there's not a whole lot you can mess up... stormstrike, earthshock, then whack fools til the cooldowns are up.

I read Windfury totems can add up to 200 or more dps to decent geared\played rogues. So putting a windfury totem up in a group of rogues and dps warriors is an additional 600 to 800 raid dps. I think thats worth one shaman giving up 100 to 200 dps for. Yeah, so the shaman doesn't get credit, like the spirit priest doesn't get credit for all the dps they add with improved divine spirit. Its the old equation, what you give up personally < what the raid gains as a whole.

Also add in the strength of earth totem, the added crit chance of having a grace of air totem, and who knows what else. I know you can't have windfury totem up with grace of air, but this would be a trial and error thing to see whats better. With grace of air up you can throw out the flametongue totem which will also add to dps.

Windfury is the single most benificial buff in the game for melee and... Ret Paladins get the most benifit of anyone :). Enhancement Shaman "should" be nearly on par with most other melee even without the "contributions" from Windfury Totem. Grace of Air and unleashed rage are also HUGE buffs for melee. I can only dream of being as useful as an enhance shammy AND all shaman will be getting a CC in the Xpac! I'd like to reroll but alas Dwarves can't be shaman LOL :)

lol frost priests... wonder which deeply confused Redeemed member came up with that one...

...

>_<

IMO you should play how you wanna play!

i Seriously want to go enhancement... reeealllly reaalllllly badly....

you have the elemental gear... I would LOVE to go Enh... /cry....

Yay we have an enhancement shammy now! You can roll against the hunters for the mail gear now hehe...they will love it I'm sure!
