Age of Conan

At first I was really excited but after a short time of seeing it, the incredible amount of nudity was shocking. I was incredibly tempted to sin with the way they took the art/nudity and quickly determined that this was a game I should NOT play under any circumstances.

For the record, I am one who actually has very little struggles in this area compared to the norm, and was still in trouble with this game. I give it my highest recommendation to avoid at all cost.

There are other good games on the way and already out there that wont put you up against such extreme temptation.

aye, its a shame really as they had some really unique combat styles and skill based gameplay that was different then the normal stand and autoattk mmos. Unfortunately they are very proud of their adult content (check out this SS from beta, its clean but makes the point) and thats kind of a deal breaker for most Christians, i'm sure.
 
I did not know it had nudity. I got it yesterday and played until level 9 and did not see nudity yet. From what I played it seems ok you can’t PvP until level 20 I believe.

Well it is there, you haven't played enough yet to see it perhaps, but its all over the place and fairly hardcore to be honest.

I got stalled out. I accomplished just about everything there was to do but Raid and my late night schedule only allowed me to do that once a week. I looked for other options but unfortunately our server has become real low pop, with many xfering to the other PvP server and many leaving for Age of Conan. I figured after almost a year off it was time to rejoin the ranks of the Redeemed.
 
Good call on Conan Indy. As a female player, I especially find this game offensive and if someone says they are not noticing nudity, well, errrr, ummm.....Easy to check out the videos on utube to get an idea of how bad this is, though actually never mind, just take my word for it. Hardcore. Stinks.
 
Hey everyone has to make their own choices according to their conscience. I wish the best to you guys who don't heed this warning and play anyways.

My prediction: You begin to like the game, you enjoy the sweet graphics and newish gameplay. You find your self invested in it and then as you approach the mid to end game you find your self surrounded by violence, sex, and occult and your sinful nature will start making excuses and rationalize why it is ok for you to keep playing in this environment and that you can handle it.

Just my prediction, of course you could be way stronger then me and in much more control over your lust. Just make sure your heart is in check and the Spirit will let you know if you are OK to play it. As long as you don't quench Him when the time comes.
 
How bad can it be? It doesn't have an AO rating. I'm really looking for any reason to play it, the combat system is very cool. We will see, I may find myself in the same boat as you Ewok.

I'm really dissapointed with these games lately, why is it neccessary to add sexual content is really beyond me.
 
Question: The toons in this game can be disrobed almost entirely by the player and run around, females to the point of absolutely no top coverage with next to no bottom coverage. How can anyone argue "i see no nudity yet?" when its right there on the screen, on any toon you can make.

Maybe your already rationalizing its ok, but you have to live with your own conscience (as well as the females in your life who may find this entirely reprobate and judge you accordingly?).

meh, no biggie.
 
I guess this means that i will not be playing Conan...hehe
"She who must be obeyed" has already nixed that idea. Level 80 in WoW anyone?
 
Hey from what I was reading, towards the end of the beta, they decided to include a toggle in the options to turn down the violence and nudity. By default it is set to show nipples and whatnot, but you can turn it off. Also if you are running Vista and have parental controls set, it will toggle them off in the game automatically.

I don't know if this is true or not, just read it on a forum thread, but if so, that is definitely an option I would want to toggle off in the menu. Of course it wont make the 2nd NPC you meet who is a scantly clad Sex-slave go away, nor the whore house/city, but its alot better then nothing eh?
