I own a Nintendo DS Lite and I love it. I even went so far as to buy a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector (which has since been mysteriously discontinued by Nintendo). There are several great DS titles with wi-fi support, but, as we all know, games are more fun when you're playing with other Christian gamers.

I'd like to put together a "test run" of a Tribe of Judah Nintendo DS Game Night. My plan is to blatantly and unabashedly steal the format of DS Fanboy's Game Night events and tweak it for ToJ members.

Here's the basic idea:
  1. Players show up at a designated date and time in the Tribe of Judah IRC channel (#toj on irc.us.gamesurge.net)
  2. Players exchange Friends codes for the games they want to play.
  3. Players play DS games with/against each other.
  4. Players post on the forums the next day, telling everyone about all the fun they had.
Players could also get on the CGA TeamSpeak Server and join one of the Tribe of Judah channels if they'd like.

I think it's a cool idea and I'd like to help make it happen.

First things first, though: I want to make sure we have sufficient interest in such an event.

Vote in the poll, post your thoughts, and let's see if we can make this happen.

NOTE: This event would be open to everyone, not just Tribe of Judah members, but it would still be a ToJ-hosted event.

WOO DS LITE!
the only game i have is Zelda: Phantom Hourglass... if anyone else has that, it'd be really great xD
Got it.

My wife didn't care for the multiplayer mode and I have yet to play it online, so I'd like to try it out.

I have a DS, but I don't have many multiplayer-enabled games. Animal Crossing is probably the only one I have.

I'll be down for it sometime in the next month or two, depending on how our finances go with taxes and such. I'm definitely getting the wife a DS and I might pick one up for myself too.

I don't own a DS, but I have information from a very reliable source that my parents are going to get me one. I'd be interested, as long as I had the game...I'm on a game buying freeze per my girlfriend...and as long as I didn't have to work or have school.

I'm not much for puzzle games, no matter how good they are. I'll probably get Mario Kart sooner or later though. However, my first game will probably be a FF game.

Now that we have a few people expressing interest in a game night, let's start posting what wifi-capable games you currently own or are borrowing and could bring to the event.

I'll start us off:
  • Clubhouse Games
  • Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass, The
  • Mario Kart DS
  • Planet Puzzle League
  • Tetris DS
  • Worms: Open Warfare 2
I may be able to borrow other titles if they're popular among other DS owners planning to participate.

Like Ishy, I think Animal Crossing is my only online-enabled game, but if any games that interested me were proposed, I could definitely be influenced. :D

Edited to add: I'm probably a poor candidate for this. I like cooperative play...

I just got myself a DS this weekend, and I was stunned at how easy it was to get connected to the internet with it using my home wireless connection. Wow! This is how gadgets are *supposed* to work!

I only have Advanced Wars: Days of Ruin right now, though I plan to get Puzzle Quest and Tetris DS. Will drop in once I figure this thing out. :)
