Not sure if everyone knows this but according to an article in GameInformer magazine the Death Knight will be an unlockable class available through a series of quests, that will result in a new character not starting at level 1 but similar to a pre-made toon on the public test realms. I'm assuming this will hold true for the Alliance toon yet un-announced or possibly the ability to use a death knight as alliance.

Also Naxx is being retooled to incorporate the storyline of Arthas into it, how it directly affects the instance itself is currently underdevelopment, but it will be a 25man instance.

Also the article stated that this will in all likelihood be the final expansion for WoW as it will finish the storyline of Arthas.


The Blizzard rep that was interviewed said this will be most significant enhancement to WoW since it's original release and that all of the WoW team was extremely excited about it's upcoming release.
 
Sounds pretty cool. If this is going to be the final expansion...I'll be happy. Means we have time to go through this silly game and then go backwards and re-visit old-world content for the fun of it! YAY! I want my Bennie!!! That or we'll all do that quest line and unlock the class and start from step 1...again...*sigh*
 
me either...there are lots of other potential story lines to expand on...not to mention, this is a huge money maker for blizz
 
I agree, there are probably more expansions in store for us. Although, I was secretly hoping this would the last one. I'm tired of farming! The game is 9 months in and I'm still grinding.

Maybe Blizzard would be content with big patches. I don't mind downloading 500 meg patches every few months.
 
ya i think the x pacs should come in patches and come slowly not just all of a sudden BAM u have like 10 lvls and hunderds and hundreds of things to get
 
ehh..the notion of the xpac would definitely be a BAM thing and it's a bit of a reset for everyone, with the new levels tacked on...so to a large extent, it creates a pretty fair playing field every year and a half or so. that being said...leveling to 60..70...what have you...needs to speed up, which i *believe* they addressed, but not entirely sure.
 
One side note I left out, The Inscription profession will allow you to customize your spells or skills, can you say Pyroblast with Knockback effect or Mind Blast with a Fear Factor...

It will also allow you to trade the "Scrolls" to your friends so they can use them as well.
 
That's really interesting. Could you do like cast Rank 1 Spell that causes instant death?

that's insanely cool...PoM/AP'd pyro that can knock you off your feet...literally...a new PvP world!
 
the World of Warcraft may never end! I could imagine that there would be World of Warcraft: 2. Not the expansion but the whole new game with better graphics and new story and pretty much enhanced everything to keep up with the curve of newer games and computer systems.

Or it'll all fade to World of Starcraft....LOL
