What does it take to become a Creative Director?

what is a creative director anyway? Never heard that term before.
Here's the Wikipedia article on Creative Directors.

I was thinking specifically of Creative Directors for radio dramas, short films, anime series, and other film projects.

probably a few years experience in the field you're looking at. For example, you have listed things related to drama/tv shows/etc.

You'd probably need to spend a few years as a screenwriter or maybe an artist on those types of things, and then work your way up until you're leading the team of screen writers for the program in question.

At least that's my guess on it.

I guess I should start working on a screenplay then...

Writing, creativity, patience... um, I don't really know, but those are three qualities that I would think would be relevant

Lot of time spent doing grunt work

Creative ability (duh)

Good sampling of job skills

People skills

A wardrobe composed almost entirely of black and charcoal*

The ability to kiss up to anyone

*Alternately, a really, really, really odd personal style

Grunt work in the field, or just general grunt work. Because I worked at a Walgreens for almost one year. Certainly that buys some kind of "grunt work" time.
Creative ability (duh)
Check.
Good sampling of job skills
Err, I chose two bad career fields (IT and journalism). Does that count? ^^;;
People skills
Ehhh...
A wardrobe composed almost entirely of black and charcoal*
I like gray. Gray is good.
The ability to kiss up to anyone
Yeeeh, not so much on this one. I'm a really terrible liar, so I'm pretty sure people can perceive when I don't like them.
*Alternately, a really, really, really odd personal style
I can manage that.
