Alas, poor Fj...I knew him well.

Elihu

Tribe of Judah Staff Manager
This message is meant to inform guildies of an upcoming change in leadership. As of tonight I asked for a 2 week hiatus from my Co-GM position\duties as well as from the Team Fj raid leader position from Kara. After much talking and deliberation with Icthus and Meli, we came to the conclusion that during this crucial time for Redeemed it would be best for an interim-GM to fill my position for me until the next election process. (which is in May)

I have truly done my best to allow God to use me to do what I can to bless the members of the guild using the talents\abilities that He has blessed me with. I will continue to be a member of the guild, I will continue to raid with the guild, I will continue to contribute what I can to this community, and I will always be there for any of you who need me. This was in no way a forcing out, but rather a HUGE helpful gesture on behalf of our other GM's. The need has been there for a while for me to step down as I knew that RL things would soon be coming my way that would interfere with WoW.

To give you an idea, my next two weeks are\were as follows:

Mon. - Fri. daytime = work
Mon. night: farm for mats for Kara run
Tues. night: help remaining guildies get keyed for Kara\instance runs
Wed. night: Kara
Thurs. night: celebrate birthday, mother-in-law flies in from Japan for 2 weeks.
Fri.: move into new apartment, Kara
Sat.: Continue moving
Sun.: unpack, check forums, farm for mats for Kara, setup teams for Kara for next week's runs.

And so on and so forth...on Fri. the 13th my mom and step-dad are flying into town. I also got a promotion from work today that begins ASAP and will include me putting in more hours. This is just tip of the iceberg stuff, but more than enough reason for me to need the hiatus. I know that this is bad timing for Redeemed and its new members, and raiding in Kara, and whatnot...but its needed for me.

It has been my utmost privilege to have served the people of this guild yet again as a GM. It has also been an extreme pleasure to work alongside with Icthus and Meli and we are truly blessed to have them doing what they do for us as leaders. Please remember to thank, encourage, and uplift our leaders daily for the tremendous jobs that they are doing.

You will see me online, probably every other night and probably for short periods of time at best, for the next 2 weeks....but I will be online to help with what I can. After two weeks you can expect to see me back online more often and ready to pick up my tank gear and go at it. :) God bless you all!

1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

I want to thank Fj for his devoted service to Redeemed.

It has been a pleasure and honor to work side by side with him. He has made it a joy to be guild leader.

Now, as for the other stuff....

We will be going ahead an appointing an interim Co-Guild Leader to take Fj's spot that would have ended in May anyway. I am currently in prayer on that with Meli. We have some ideas and hope to get this spot filled.

The Fj will serve as he stated as a raid leader, but needs a break. Therefore we will be appointing a new raid leader by the end of the week to fill. It is important to us all to get the second raiding team up and running smoothly as soon as possible.

So, there is the business end of a Fj needs a break.

Once again, I thank you Fj for your ablitly and readiness. I will stand by you anytime.

Plus he has to find some time in that busy schedule to talk to his best friend on the phone. :D

Even for those who haven't known Fj for 17 years (like I have), you probably still have seen his generous and giving attitude. He's invested a tremendous amount of time, energy, and love into the guild and it's very encouraging to see others stepping up to help him and the whole guild during a busy time in his life.

So, again, Elihu, congratulations on your promotion, have fun when your family visits (and maybe save a package of two of Japanese candies for me *G*), and thanks for all you do. :)

And a BIG "Thank you" to all those who are stepping up to allow Elihu to take this hiatus!

Did someone say Japanese candies..... **drool** where do you all live FJ? hmmm, let me check the gas in my car. Need some help moving? j/k. Glad to see you recognize your need for a break before it got too bad. Some of us (looks away from the mirror) don't realize they need a break until way way too late. On the other hand, all my grey hairs have wisdom attached now. God bless you and your family during the next few weeks and may you find relaxation around the next corner.

I never know what to say when people are leaving/taking a break/whatever, so I'll just say, "thank you for all of you help, not just as a co-leader, but personally."

Can you believe it was almost a year ago people started to raid from Redeemed... and now look at what happened!!! Fun times.

Your service is greatly appreciated by members from within Redeemed, and even some people out of it :).

Have fun moving... :D
