Good anime series this season?

In the English dubbed DBZ the voice actors changed circa 1999, and the adults voices improved greatly. I prefer watching with English as opposed to Japanese because the Japanese voices are WAY high pitched. The nice thing with the new DBZ dvd's is that you get about 15 hours for $35. That's better than most games I've played recently, shooters anyway. And you can also choose original Japanese voiceover and music, revised English dialogue with orginal Jap music, or revised English with American music. The nice thing is all the old pre-99 episodes have been re-dubbed with the better voice actors. :D
 
I'll have to see if I can't pick up that DVD sometime. I was always a fan of DBZ, but never got to watch it all. I dove it around the Freeza saga, then saw the androids and Cell. I stopped before Bu.

Interesting fact: The main EVILGUY in Monster Rancher is named Moo. That's right, like a cow. Another reason why it is the GREATEST ANIME EVER.
 
Well right now only Season 1 is out, but Season 2 comes out in May. That should have probably the first half of Frieza at least. Widescreen and HD (as much as it can be without being HD-DVD) and 5.1 surround. Yippie!

This probably explains why I believe that Goku sounds like a girl on helium and TJ insists he's actually quite post-pubescent.
 
Yeah the pre-'99 voice actors aren't all that fantastic. Especially since Chi-Chi has the most HORRENDOUS British accent. At least, it sounds like a bad British accent. What's funny is seeing the later episodes doing flashbacks to earlier orginal english actors. And watching the pre-99 movies. :D
 
Well, the spring lineup is starting to appear in fansub torrents...

And so far, out of my earlier list, I have to say Heroic Age looks great - only the first episode so far, but it does have a lot of my interest.

Claymore - I'm more hesitant about. The story looks interesting, but the animation is kind of iffy.



I also downloaded a few others Touka Gettan confused the tar out of me...

And then a couple of others of the new releases were nothing more than echhi fanservice... :(


When I get home tonight, I'm planning on catching up on Reideen, downloading Murder Princess #1 and taking a gander at the promo for Hayatte the Combat Butler.
 
Yay, a new season of anime!

Let's hope some diamonds emerge from the coal this season.
