BC Raid Progression

At one point I saw some CRAZY flow chart of all the prerequisites we had to do to get to the very end level instances. It scared me so bad, I tried to block it from my mind! Very overwhelming!

I work better when I break stuff into small chunks, and tackle those little chunks. So what is my first chunk? What do we need to do as a guild to get into our first 25 man? What faction grinding do I need to do? What key do I need? Do we all need flying mounts?

As for the long term goals, has anyone seen a good guide as to what we need to do? I'd love to see it!

One of the things I noticed is that to do most of the end-game stuff, a flying mount is required.

I wonder how many of us will have a flying mount any time soon. Will it be months and months till we have 25 with mounts? Will we need to form a new alliance with other non-christian guilds eventually, so the guildies who do have mounts can start raiding stuff?

It all begins again... at lvl 70, but this time it looks even more hardcore then before for raiding. We definitly have a strong showing with over 35 members online most nights.

Should be interesting to see how this pans out. I know that I personally will be faithful to Redeemed and will not be joing another guild just to see the endgame. I would be open to finding some solid guilds to join up with, however. Like we did back in the day when Team Eternity first started.

EDIT..
Seems also like a ton of different rep grinds is needed to access the heroic modes of dungeons. Eventually we might want to set up a sheet that tracks who is where with what rep. This way we can plan groups that want to farm certain instances over and over and over and over to get the rep needed.

Theoretically, as long as 3 have flying mounts, and one is a warlock, you only need 3 mounts.

With the way money drops in BC, people should have no problem getting their non-epic flying mount. It will be similar to getting your first non-epic riding mount.

Yeah, the cash flow has definitely increased with the expansion. I just hit 66 last night, so have another week or two before I'll be 70, but already have enough to get my non-epic flying mount.

As for summons, though...it's take a whole lot of soulshards to summon 22 of 25 raid members. And I only have a 20 slot shard bag!

If theres a Meeting Stone there, you use no shards. But, its only 25 people. I have had to summon the better part of an AQ40 raid before. :p

Having reached 70 already, I think I can safely say that, unless people devote too much money to professions or something, there will be no problems whatsoever as far as flying mounts go. Admitently I chose to sell my trading materiels instead of using them, and I'm not an enchanter, so I can vendor all my quest rewards, but starting at about 100 gold at 60, I reached 70 with over 2000 gold, more then twice what is needed for a flying mount. Thusly, as long as people refrain from making too many big purchases, there should be no issues with fly mount exclusive areas.

As far as the first level of raiding goes, keying should not be too much of a problem. Karazahn does have a rather lenthy key quest (which can be found here), but I don't believe Gruul's lair or Magtheridon's lair have any attunement quests, so raiding should be able to start up as soon as we have enough 70s to get raids together.

I believe the second tier of raiding is far more difficult and requires runs in all previous raids and many heroic 5 mans. That's a long ways off though, and much of that should be completed as we progress normally through the preceding raids and instances.

So far as getting keyed for five mans, there are two major chains to watch for as you wrap up the last few levels. The first is for the key to the Arcatraz and it starts with Consortium Crystal Collection in Area 52. The second I am not as sure about, but it's for Shattered Halls, and I believe it begins with a drop from from a named orc near the Black Temple in SMV. The key for the Shadow Labyrinth drops in Setthek Halls, and the Steamvault doesn't require a key.

is the 1,000 for non epic flying mount is that just for the mount? or is that combo of riding skill and mount? also it would be a great idea to inform all what it takes to start these 5man heroic raids or instances and also 25 man heroic raids or is there just plain 25 man raids? and isn't there 15man raids also?.I am trying to level up both of my main characters as fast as i can which are a hunter and mage, so i might be a little behind on getting to 70 but iam working on it, but i can't wait to start doing guild raids again. and i won't be leaving redeemed just for raiding, this guild is alot more important to me than just that.
