Uh is 55 now impossible?

Hey All,
I have not been on for a while and it is mostly because my 55 monk doesn't work- I need a way to farm and its all I have right now. I was wondering though, if someone knew if they changed the skills as far as how long they last? I had mine on in the north shiver peaks and the skills kept turning off- like a regular skill would. Is this normal or a result of something I was fighting or something else entirely? Dazed and Confused :p
 
Northern Shiverpeaks? Some Stone Summit thingies up there have Desecrate Enchantment and stuff... and shatter enchanment I think...
 
I don't think they changed the skills, but rather how mobs react to area of affect damage.

I just made a mesmer so i could try out the 55 mes, I have capped IW and have been experimenting with different builds. What skills do you use, and where are some good places that you use this?
 
well... as for the Build... I don't know.

I could find out... but I'm too lazy. besides, my mesmer has to get IW first...

Gear:
Katana of enchanting, energy+5

Basically I use it in places where there are alot of warriors. Avoid anywhere there are necros with desecrate enchantments or mesmers with shatter enchantments.
 
Illusionary Weaponry still works because it doesn't do AoE damage, it just takes down one mob at a time.

Here's the 55 mesmer build I use on Hydra's outside Augury Rock. If you dont want to get a second set of armor with all sup runes on it, try this Me/A IW build.
 
My 55HP Build

My 55HP Monk build is workin pretty darn sweet. He's called a Spiteful Smiter. He uses Spiteful Spirit as his main damage spells and hits em with zealots fire as well. Working pretty awesome, but I do still need to get myself a Totem Axe. The Axe will help my Mo/R Droks runner too, but I've got more work for him before He'll be ready!

Course equipement is important as well, and as I'm waiting for GW to update, I can't check out what they're running equipment wise.
