New "Trek" Movie

Well it's official. While I didn't find much info as to what it'll be about; they are making another Trek movie. No clues as to which Trek it will be based but my guess would be Voyager or TNG.

Flaris/Kutless.
 
The rumors that I've been hearing is that it will be a young Kirk. The saddest thing about that rumor was that they wanted to cast Matt Damon as Kirk. I sure hope that one isn't true!
 
I actually heard that it would take place at The Academy....160 years or so before Kirk. That would be like in the very beginning of the Federation, wouldn't it? I'm not sure about the timeline in Star Trek. So someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure where I saw that...but it wasn't too long ago. That's the funny thing about Star Trek though...they always seem to be very tight-lipped about what they are doing next, and rumors always fly.

Anyone have links to more information on the movie? Or at least an article quoting a statement direct from the studio confirming they'll make another Trek movie?
