To any Military Personnel

Then I guess the planes I fought weren't friendly.

What about the SU-27? Mig-21?

When I was a kid (Yes, a kid), I played a PC game called, Strike Commander. It was the best flight similation game I have ever played, and the only one too.
Pretty basic, runs in dos mode only. Either a F-16 Falcon or Prototype F-22 to pick from. About 4 missles, 6 bombs to outfit the plane, over 40 fighter enemies, from Mig 21 - F-18 Hornets and about 20 tanks, 10 battleships...

If had been playing flight sim games, I would of been a pro at it, instead, I'm a novice in Starcraft and Counter-Strike.

I shot down 250 air and 170 ground units! LOL

STRIKE COMMANDER! Another blast from the past. Origin made some damn good games. SC was very acradey though, I don't think I'd consider it a sim.

If you want sim, go with Falcon 4.0. I'm sure you can get it cheap now. I haven't played 4.0, but I played 3.0.

Nothing beats the realism of this game. I remember having to fly a mission to take out a bridge. As I took off I could see the AWACS flying overhead with an F-15 escort. Apaches flew ahead us to take out ground infantry. As I hit cruising altitude I saw black streaks below me...two F117's flying low and fast to take out AA sites. It was freakin' amazing at how all this other stuff was going on in support of the mission I was flying.

Definately worth checking out!

I have Falcon 4.0 Paid under $10 for it. Installed it once, tried it once. Removed it. Went back to studying. It looks awesome, but, requires more time then what I want to give it.

Um.  Actually, Peon was talking about coloring books.  He can't read yet.

This is a quickie for Dark Virtue.

I have a game for Sega Dreamcast called, Aerowings 2: Airstrike, I've wondered why does the jets/planes have different letters beside them:

F-16A, F86F, F-4EJ, F-15DJ, F-15J, F104J, F4J, F-4EJ KAI, F-2A, F-15A, F/A-18C, F-2B, F-14A

I rule with the F-4, but i dont see any different with their movement, just there colors are different, and it has 1200 rounds of ammo than the F-16 with has 900 rounds of ammo...(20 mm gun)

I'm sorry to bring this up since it happen a long time ago.

And since most of the recent posts never made to the point, Canadian wise (Except for Gods_Peon's post, maybe), I'd like to really know what are they exactly?

Monday, May 08, 2006; 4:40 A.M.

I went to take my dog out for one last time and had a glimpse of the dark blue sky. I saw a blinking light, no doubt, its a 747 since its moving extremely slow, all the sudden, I see a solid light going straight at it! At first, I though it was a missle or something, then it zoom into blinking light and then kept going. To see something going that fast truly makes me think thats impossible the 747 did not see it or at least detected it!

I can only think of 2 possible facts: 1; its a Canadian Air Force plane scouting our country for a reasonable answer, protecting us from any airborine hostile enemies.

2; Unknown or Prototype aircraft scouting our country for unknown reasons.

Our country as in, Canada, not America. Though, they are only a couple canadians in this forum, heh...

So, to be able to see a solid light moving the speed of a Fighter Jet and seeing white steams of smoke above the sky, is it a Plane or something else/worse? Or if no one knows, just say, "I don't know."

The letters next to the aircraft name is the model number. F-15E is the 5th iteration of the F-15. F-117A is the first revision of the F-117 airframe. Each one is usually a technology upgrade, mostly in avionics and weapons delivery, although in the case of the F-111 and the F-15 certain revisions are given different roles. F-15E is considered the Strike Eagle, which is ground attack. I hope that helps, I grew up on airports and spent most of my teenage years in a mentorship program with the USAF.
