I'm curious to know what others think about Wizard101, specifically the seeming occult influence. My 10 year-old son has been playing for a few months now and my wife is very uncomfortable with its content. Any thoughts?

Fantasy is fantasy, RL is RL...as long as you know and understand the difference, there is no problem... As long as your son is not being influenced negatively in RL, I would not be concerned...

yes and no. Wiz101 is pretty heavy on the use of runic symbols, casting mantras, casting motions, and lots of evil and demonic looking summoned creatures. I played it quite extensively and it did feel like they were going a bit far into the Occult material for my own liking. There are lots of fantasy games I would play with my kids but wiz101 would probably not be on the list till a bit older then 10.
You also mentioned that your wife is uncomfortable with the content, that is Spirit-led proof right there that the answers is a big NO. There really should be no question after that was revealed. I can't think of any good or positive reason that a kid should keep playing a game that the mom is feeling uncomfortable with its content in relation to the Occult. You risk quenching the Spirit there.
