"Wind down" games for PC

I love arena shooters. I'm fond of frantic puzzle games. I dig quality platformers, both 2D and 3D. I <3 RPGs with solid characters, story, and battle systems (few though they be).

But sometimes, I just want a simple and relaxing game to help me wind down at night.

Unfortunately, Pixeljunk Eden is only on PSN. I'm thinking Eufloria or Osmos will do the job.

Chime, unlike most puzzle games, just makes me feel stupid after a while.

COIL is just too...unsettling.

Droplitz has me seeing pipes in my dreams.

Recettear could find me at the keyboard when the sun rises.

Poker Night at the Inventory is a decent choice, but I don't like quitting games mid-tournament and it can take a while to wrap up.

Any other suggestions?

If Flower was ported to the PC... get it now. If it's not... download the PS3 demo anyway. It's so... beautiful... calm... yet amazing.

I could get lost, even in the demo, for hours.

MS Paint.

Or Flower on the PS3.

Or no games. Why not turn on some relaxing music and watch WMP/Winamp show off some of it's neat visualizations?

Oh, I know this question well since I spend a lot of my day gaming for income, so I typically need something very different to relax with in the evening.

Right now I am playing Everquest (the original) for that purpose, but I also have free access to it due to the subscriptions I maintain for my business so it might not be as good a fit for you and your circumstances.

I also like The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall which is now a free download but requires knowledge of (and patience with) DOS to be able to run. If you don't get on the main questline you can tour the world and do little quests and dungeon runs for the townspeople and develop your character at your leisure.

Turn based strategies work well for this for me too, but the ones I have experience with are also really old (Master of Magic, Lords of Magic, etc).

There's also a lot of simple but engaging free flash games at addictinggames.com so you might be able to find something there.

Sorry only 3 games seem to be in my stable right now (sorry D2 and Sacred) Guild Wars, Solitaire, and hearts. The rest of the evening is short Netflix instant watch stuff.
