Undedicated Black Moa Chick

Wasn't sure where to pose the question, either here or in the trade forum...

Anyways, does anyone know the reason the undedicated black moa chicks are so expensive? Not that I'm looking to buy one, but I've sold a couple at over 40k and I have a couple more to sell. I would like to assume most players have all 3 campaigns to acquire it. Am I missing something?

My guess is that many people want a quick fix. They read on Guildwiki what it takes to get the chick and they'd rather spend 40k than the 1 to 2 hours it takes to get one yourself. Go figure...

I'm not sure how much spirit wood and the other materials for it are running for but mentally minus that off the cost and see if thats about how much a green mini would be worth. I think in the end it is 1 point in your HoM(being green and all). However, I think Abba is right. Their is still a lot of hand ringing in GW over the HoM.

Hand wringing, for sure - look at the price of Ecto - Sapphire - Ruby. I'm waiting for the price to come down and I'm confident it will.

I'll look and see and PM you. I'd be happy to pay - I'm just not willing to pay the amount the merchants are selling them for.

They're 40k for the points in the HoM. 40k is actually really cheap for an undedicated mini. It's not the cheapest, but it certainly beats 50k+ 100k+. Which is what I'm looking at now.. :(

And Abba, unless someone finds a way to farm Ecto/Rubies/Sapphires easy like Shadow Form, I don't see those getting any cheaper from here on out.

Yeah you're right, I'm finding 40k is cheap. That's what I get for being out of the game for so long. I see completing the Vabbi quests that reward trade contracts to acquire more rubies & sapphires. Stc, do you need a moa chick?

No thanks, I made one for me already. And I know about the trade contact quests, but a single character through NF can't get enough Rubies/Sapphires for Vabbian armor.

I was fortunate to get my rubies/sapphires before the calculator came out. That said, I'm helping a guildie out with any trade contracts I can get in addition to his. I think you can get 27 or so total contracts from quests per character, so just short of what's needed for 4 jewels.

Try farming geodes or ruby weapons, tacking on a "measure for measure" inscription, and hope for the best.
