Officer SOE/LoE/Where's "here"?
Psalm 24:1
This is actually, if you look at the punctuation, part one of a two part thought here,
HCSB1 The earth and everything in it,
the world and its inhabitants,
belong to the Lord;
This is actually, if you look at the punctuation, part one of a two part thought here,
being the second part. But I want to really look at the implications of verse 1. There is nothing and no one on this earth that does not belong to God. Which means He can do as He sees fit with it. If your unbelieving neighbor has a nicer car and better house with a new Harley in the garage, that's ok, it all belongs to God and He can give it to who He wants to. If a government is corrupt and needs replacing, God has that in control too. Our job is simple, love God and give glory to Him, secondly to love our neighbor and those in need. If God has given us enough resources to share, give glory to Him by sharing with those in need. Be it time or money. It is all His anyway, and if He asks us to use it a certain way, and we claim to be His, we had better obey. Have you been blessed with a lot of the earths goodness and health? Praise Him, for it is His really, you are just custodian of it for now. If you have little or much never lose sight of the implications of this verse. God owns you and all you have. Try meditating on that thought for a day, it can change your whole mind set.2 for He laid its foundation on the seas
and established it on the rivers.
