Facing All Kinds of Trouble
2 My brothers and sisters, you will face all kinds of trouble. When you do, think of it as pure joy. 3 Your faith will be tested. You know that when this happens it will produce in you the strength to continue. 4 And you must allow this strength to finish its work. Then you will be all you should be. You will have everything you need.

This is not the only passage that speaks of the positive growth in God that troubles and trials bring, that alone should help our hope in God. Note that this passage says that we let our faith be tested it will eventually give us everything we need. It can be hard to think of joy when things are down the tubes, but remember that is when God does some amazing stuff in our lives. Got a big problem? We have a bigger God.
