He was the six-year-old son of a missionary couple
that was working to spread GOD's word in Salvador,Brazil.
One morning Matthew complained of a fever.
As his temperature rose he began losing his eyesight.
His parents put him in the car and raced him to the hospital.
On the desperate trip to the hospital he was laying on his mothers lap
and did something his parents will never forget.
He extended his hand in the air.
His mother took his hand and pulled it down.
Two more times he raised it and she pulled his hand back down.
Then confused; the mother asked "What are you reaching for my son?"
"i'm reaching for Jesus's hand" Matthew answered.
And with those words his eyes closed and he slid into a coma
from which he would never awaken.
He died two days later from bacterial meningitis.
Of all the things he never learned in his six short years of life
he'd learned the most important thing:
Who to reach for in the hour of death, JESUS
This is a sample of the book i'm reading
