i would like to say congratz to team 2 clearing kara except illhoof but they say he's optional. ill try to post te pic i have but they say its too big size wise

I wanna try the illhoof fight tanking everything in the room as a pally tank heh, I was reading with a little FR its pretty easy
 
Mordos as you have said yourself. Illhoof is a optional boss when I was on the team with you. In fact our first clear ever we did not do Illhoof. Unless something has changed since you last said I think team 2 deserves credit for their accomplishment.

I dont think Mordos ever left up Nightbane though(needed that BP lol!) :) Illhoof is finicky because it required a warlock and when Reco left we didnt have a dependable warlock that was there every week for it:P
 
idk what's considered a clear and what's not, but i thought nightbane and illhoof arent the only optional bosses? I remember reading it on wowwiki you can skip some of the other bosses too.

When i was on mordos' team though, we cleared karazhan when we killed absolutely everything(other than the 3 random animal bosses).
 
it was still considered clear a few times and we left Illhoof up because no warlock was around to help down him:)

I always thought Illhoof, Nightbane and the animal bosses as being optional to a full clear. As for only downing Illhoof once, I know I've downed him twice, once with Sazul and once with Mordos. There is nothing hard about the fight, its just long and a drain on healers.
