Talking Tree

Officer SOE/LoE/Where's "here"?
Does this tree say something to you or have a message hidden in it's appearance? It has survived 60 mph winds, hail and ice storms, yet it still blooms beautifully. And at about 37 years old it is positively ancient by Dogwood standards. Yet every spring it never fails to bloom, and I keep saying I'm going to cut it down, but never have the heart to do so.

Your pictures remind me of a neighbor's tree. Various storms (lightning, strong winds, and ice) have reduced the tree's branches by roughly half (which makes for an odd-looking tree as all branches are on one side) but it's still standing!

EDIT: If this were posted in a different forum, we could delve into the doctrine of the final perseverance of the saints (is that what it's called?) but that might be a sticky topic for CGA General. :D
