Star Wars Concert

I know there are a number of Star Wars fans here, so I thought I'd put the bug in your ear: If you live in/near Chicago, Seattle, Cleveland, Denver or Cincinnati, be on the look out for your local city symphony to perform selections from all 6 Star Wars movies. (Link)

I just got back from the Toronto debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, featuring Anthony Daniels (Threepio) narrating the plot of the movies, and it was amazing. Tickets were a bit expensive ($90 CDN, but I got mine last minute and that's all that was left), but worth it, just to hear all those great themes performed live by a world class orchestra and choir, and see the local Canadian garrison of the 501st Legion out in full effect. (Their costumes are sickenly authentic looking! Snow Troppers, Bomber Troppers, Boba, Darth, Episode 3 Republic Troopers...I digress...)

So yea, if you're a Star Wars fan and live near the listed areas, look for the show coming your way. Apparently it's different in each city - looks like Cincinatti is going to get live light sabre fights!

Yikes, that is ssswwweeettt! :D

I live near Cleveland and would LOVE to go. :)

$90 Canadian is about $73 US...hmm. Yeah, the price is a little steep, but I'm sure, as you said, that it's a good show. :)

re: ticket price...also, I got tickets at the last minute and the $90 ones the only ones left. Apparently there were $25 tickets too, but it really depends on the venue you're seeing the concert in, and which symphony it is, so it'll vary...
