With Lore's response to the Spiritual Gifts question, I feel prompted to ask another question. I like seeing and learning some of your spiritual gifts, as it gives us a cool spiritual taste of who you are.
Now reshare your results here (even if you did a retest, share that retest). Then tell us a little bit about how God has used those gifts in the past. Share your heart and don't worry about sounding prideful. Just share the truth and the facts, and it will allow us a chance to get to know each other on a deeper level. After all, that's what fellowship is all about isn't it? hehe.
As an example, I'll go first:
Mercy (20)
When I was young, my mom always told me to put myself in other people's shoes. Since then, I was always focused on other people. I always tried to understand things from their point of view and I was always a great listener. Over time, I subconsciously developed a philosophy: One of my greatest joys is the joy of others, and one of my greatest sorrows is the sorrow of others. I never like making plans or making decisions because I always like to give priority to the plans and decisions of friends. (Although sometimes I can take that too far like I did with a certain foreigner.) I love to serve, I love to listen, and I love to help and give my heart for the comfort and joy and improvement of others.
I'm always shier in person than over the internet because I fear doing or saying something that will offend or hurt my friend or brother. So my social skills need work. But I'm always happy to pray, overjoyed to listen, and feel blessed when I can be there for someone.
Teaching (17)
I remember in first grade, the teacher would sometimes call on me to try and explain a difficult lesson to one or two of my classmates. I seemed to be pretty good at explaining it in a way that they could understand. I've always liked using mental pictures as learning tools, and sometimes people seem to understand better when I break things down and teach things on a basic level. I was a tutor in college and was even a pretty good employee trainer when I worked at chuck e cheese.
When I came to the Knights of the Trinity in the Dark Ages of Camelot, I enjoyed giving sermons and sharing the word of God in guild and in Camelot. I felt a desire to share what I had read or learned or had a passion for in the scripture, and people seemed interested. I guess that's why I did my bible studies in the forum as well. I don't know how successful they are, or if they are well written, but some seem to like it.
Okay. Your turn. Share away!
