First off, we have, The helmet of Salvation!
This wonderful invention does a myriad of things for us.
For one it protects our noggin when we get those flaming darts, pokes, prouds and hands slaps to the head! When we are standing there in our spiritual armor and the Helmet of salvation can be seen just above our shields of faith. Its gotta make our adversary super upset! He can't use any type of mental attack against us!
The helmet helps us mind our mind. THink about it, when you are concentrating on the Lord, the helmet is in its place, and your thoughts stay where they should be. When you are so busy concentrating on the Lord and what He has for you, impure thoughts, wayward thoughts, they are not allowed in, the helmet blocks them.
The helmet is a physical representation of our internal change. Imagine wearing it every day, would the way you act be different? Would people see you differently with a badge of honor upon your head all the time?
I want to note something, the Helmet of Salvation is the only piece of armor that protects something from the back as it wraps around your entire head! It has to, mainly because your head can be attacked from every direction, however if you are in the Lord's will, you never have to worry about someone coming up behind you.
