New Server!

I was just about to get on and commend the new server we've had up. It's run very well for me!

But then I logged in and all my stuff was gone... AGAIN - without warning and without saving my progress!

I'm really trying hard to stay within the TOJ servers here, but I'm not sure you guys understand how frustrating this is. I don't know how most people play the game, but I'm after a place where I can build, add to, perfect, and change over the course of a very long period of time. I'd really like for that to be this server. If that's not something you guys can provide, I'll understand. Just please tell me ahead of time. Maybe this sort of thing is normal - I'm not used to privately run servers; most of the games I've played have had their own company servers and I'm used to that reliability.

That being said, it's been running really well for me, so I appreciate all the work put in to get it stabilized and running well.

With the "Final" release of the game and such a huge amount of content added, lots of problems are to be expected. This is especially true considering the game was released while most of the people who work on it were out of town at a huge party with all the major community members who make stuff for the game.

It's slowly coming around. Be patient and give it time. The large number of mods run by the two servers ToJ is involved with increase the problem factor by giving more opportunities for problems.

That being said, ToJ does not have an "official" server. We have an "official" chapter supporting Minecraft but no server we pay for ourselves. The owners of the servers we are involved with have graciously allowed us to play on their public servers as a group.

If you wish to have the ToJ fellowship that comes from playing with a group of ToJ'ers then these are the only servers available right now. But because of the problems and the lack of an "official" server, several people have moved to other servers (see Ewoksrule post on Lions of Judah server).

We got griefed like madmen yesterday. I was asked to roll the server back 24 hours. I can restore your inventory file (delete your current one and bring back the old one) I'll pm you with my phone number so that you can call me when your ready for me to restore your inventory.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've been playing on a server hosted by a friend of Ewok's. It's more of what I'm looking for. Good luck to you guys though.
