Huh. Imagine if they spent all the effort and money they're spending on lawsuits to actually reform how music is packaged and distributed, they might not have the problem of users choosing free music over paying $20 for an audio CD with one track they heard on the radio and liked.

Wow. Now there's a thought.

Actually, I don't share any files any more. *G* Seeing as sharing my music library would likely earn me a lawsuit from the RIAA. -_- Even when I did share files, I cut my upload bandwidth drastically to ensure that it didn't interfere with my gaming ping or tax my daily upload bandwidth limit. That's why I had to do away with DC++. ;_; Which I really liked.

Reminds me of.. cs:O...
RIAA CT skins heheh! Strike fear into the hearts of all terrorists everywhere!

hehe luckyly i have never had enough bandwith the use p2p much ..... not that I haven't copied my fair share in my lifetime

Agreed. Some of the methods I read about in Wired magazine last month are absolutely appalling. The idea that they might be able to legally get away with that makes me cringe.

Ah well...it won't last for too long. They're fighting a battle they can't possibly win, one against too many people in too large a community. You can't wage war on your own customers.
