Nobody online has hammered me about the guild name, at all. And I have invited tonnes of people to join a party to do quests. I have gotten lots of kind words for being a team player and how they haven't met people so kind as us (usually I'm partied with my bro).
Even my brother has said that nobody has bugged him about the name and he has told me that he has made a great deal of acquaintances online. And he has mentioned that the people he parties with give him kind words for his effort to help them go back and get that forgotten quest item in the farthest reaches of a cave, where most people say "you forgot that, too bad, get it yourself."
I think we are having a positive effect on the Illidan server, unlike any other guild. I was reading a thread about guilds on Illidan on WoW boards and people are bashing all of the guilds except ours. But then, ours isn't listed anywhere.
And the name itself "Choose Joy" is so radically different then all the other names out there, it can't help but stand out like a sore thumb. Last night I think there was 20+ members on. I kept running into Choose Joy in every capital city I visited, in the countryside at small outposts. Odd enough, at Thelsamar, four of us bumped into each other, even though we were doing different things.
"Don't worry, be happy", "Choose Joy"
