Nice! Where was the event? Looks like a lot of people!! And I don't think I've actually ever seen a picture of you until now. :)

(Side comment: what do you think of table tennis on the XBox? I hear it's the bee's knees...)

It's the bees knees, and probably the ankles too.

The LAN was in Web2Zone LAN center in NYC. I flew up for the weekend. I even grew the scraggly "UNIX-user" beard because Zorak said it would increase my Linux skills by 50%.
 
re: table tennis...the intro movie I've seen looked amazing, but I haven't checked out any actual gameplay videos yet...

Sweet! Looks like you guys had a good 'ol time! Hehe, I grew out a "unix" beard recently myself. Haven't gotten myself to a terminal to see if it worked yet though :). How is Linux working for you? Have you gotten everything worked out or did you just give up on it?
 
Sorta gave up on it. I'm gonna try again if they make UT2007 for Unix (and I bet they will, since Epic makes Unix versions of everything they write). I reinstalled just the core system files over my previous installation, since Gparted didn't find any partitions for me and I wanted to shrink the Unix partition size to 20 GB. It broke my install though, so I'll have to repartition. I haven't gotten around to it yet. There's really not a whole lot I need to do on it. Come school time though, I'll probably be using it for some Java programming stuff.

Table Tennis is seriously good. If you already have a 360, I recommend you get it. However, if you don't have a 360, don't buy it just for that game. It's worth 40 bucks but it's not worth 400!
