hey guys!
Well as an update my dad has maybe found a job as a pastor. There is only one catch.... Its in England.
Long move for us if he does get the job. I'd like if yall would pray for my dad, my family, and myself during this time and we decide on if we would move or if he actually gets the job.
The weird thing is im actually kinda excited about it. The change in culture and atmosphere would be simply amazing to witness. The area we would be moving to my dad has actually been to. He was stationed in England at Milton hall (sp?) and the church is about 10 mins away from there and another air force base that is nearby.
Honestly my only worry about the whole thing is seeing my family. Since we would be across the ocean instead of the nation. But that isnt really a problem. Until im 23 i can go on military hops which pretty much means i can get a flight straight to my hometown for in the ball park of 50 dollars. Since my hometown has an AFB that has regular flights from Milton hall (sp?)
But yeah ill keep you guys updating and thanks for the prayers

You bet England is rough for Christians... BIG Islam presence there.

Can be rough on Americans there too....as for the Islam presence no idea. I've only been approached by Mormons recruiting over there. <And he had no idea where Salt Lake City was which I found bizzare>

<Wonders what Galatians will sound like with an English accent hehe! Goes to look up where Milton is>

gilga posted the real name of it but the post was one of the ones that was actually deleted... i believe it is around cambridge or something like that but not sure

Ah kk...my little Sister got her masters in teaching from Cambridge :D

<even got the English Government to pay her tuition some how so college/university might be cheaper for ya>

I believe the summary of my earlier post was:
1) Make sure you can get USAF base privileges so you can buy soft toilet paper
2) Cathedrals rock
3) Having multicultural neighbors can be a great faith-building and learning experience
(if only all my posts were so pithy!)

The bases are Mildenhall and Lakenheath, about 10 miles E/NEish from Cambridge and 50 miles NE from London.

thanks for that again gilga =)
but since we have military id cards we can still go on base so we are set

You have something against that fine grade of sandpaper they use for toilet paper? Come on. Be tough! Sand those 'roids off!

Actually for an update for everyone we might not be moving to England after all.. my dad is thinking of pulling his application and actually moving back to our hometown (well my hometown) Spokane, Washington.
One of the main reason is cause of all our family is there and support base.
But the other is my dad might need back surgery. He hurt his back while in the AF and he has a torn disk in his lower back as well as some other stuff in the area that was caused from torn disk. FINALLY the VA did an MRI and they found the torn disk and the damage is worse then they thought it was. So he has an appointment with a back surgeon to discuss his options. If he actually has back surgery we will be moving back to washington for sure.

Fret not! Back surgery can be just another bump in the road without major changes. Then again, it can be a retty tough recovery. I know what you mean about getting the VA to move on an MRI. We will be praying for the Lord's keeping in this. Trust Him and your needs will be met.
