Meatclysm Mission Beach

OK, logistics are set, we've secured a place in Mission Beach -- 2 blocks off the Pacific Ocean in one direction and right on the bayside sand in the other direction, just north of San Diego and <10 miles from the airport. Nominally Meatclysm will run from noonish Friday 12/10 through Sunday morning 12/12, although we will have access to the place Thursday night as well.

Anyhow, anyone's welcome ... if you want to come, drop a PM to Mirakle or me and we'll work further logistics.

We got the Bay on our side and the beach right behind us.

Mission Beach, located in sunny San Diego, California has one of the world’s best climates. Summer seems to never end, and typically lasts from May to September with average temperatures in the mid to low 80s during the day and falling to the low 70s at night. The dry climate and soft ocean breezes are perfect conditions for outdoor activities including boating, hiking, waterskiing, sun bathing, or just relaxing and sipping a beer.

I dislike everyone who lives in California right now.

I won't in a few seconds from now, but for right now... the above stands.

:P

For me it is 22 hours, 21 minutes and just shy of 1400 miles ... 1-way. So I will most likely not be making it :)

I'm in San Mateo (Just south of San Francicso) and would probably go if it weren't --
1. the 1st weekend that Cata is released
2. the weekend my sister who lives in SD will be in the bay area

If you guys did something in the spring perhaps the bay area people could do a car pool down to SD

Gas is expensive! Grab a cheap flight while you can, it will be worth it! Lifetime memories of meeting your fellow Redeemed geeks in person.

Gilga, maybe we need some promotional material like contests or forcing Fierce to do a energydrink kegstand.

I stand corrected....

9 hours no traffic, 11.5 in traffic according to Goggle maps....

LA must really really really sux.
Yeah it would be a long drive. Plus the most fuel efficient vehicle I have is my lifted Jeep that gets about 12 miles to the gallon and my brother has an old school Jeep J10 that gets about 8 miles to the gallon lol.

I am considering driving but I have a Mini Cooper convertible and would take a day and drive down Hwy 1.

If Wall would pay the gas...

So from Santa Rosa, 580 miles to drive down there....If I got a fuel efficent car (Aka my moms nissan murano) that would be 1 and 1/4 tank of gas...meaning I would have to fill it up 3 times in our trip down. And it seats 4 comfortably including a driver.

Hmmmm....

And hanging out with Mirakle, Gilga, Shagz, and many other Redeemed people...priceless!!

VERY VERY tempting...I'll see if I can get the time off and possibly make it down there. I'll find out in a day or 2 if I got the OK.

No force needed. Since we will be enforcing the "SS or it didn't happen" rule for this get together...I'm down for any and all shenanigans.

And for those of you still on the fence about coming...I was present at the last Redeemed BBQ we had a couple years ago. I would seriously consider pulling whatever (attainable) strings you can to make it. It is an awesome experience and fun times had by all :)

So I just put in my time off for the 9th-11th off and obviously the 12th off. and my Dad is the boss...So I'm thinking this is a go? And Xaveor said he may be able to drive his jeep down there...just going to be a long drive in it. HAHA but i'll keep you posted!

(And what if I dont have a lap top....so yah)
